Geographical Information
ClimateGenerally, Morocco's climate is moderate. Cool breezes come from the Atlantic and Mediterranean. In the middle, the temperatures are more extreme, winters can be cold and the summers very hot. In fact, the further you go from the ocean the more extreme winter and summer temperatures become.

Elevation ExtremesThe highest peak is Jebel Toubkal, with an elevation of 4,165 m.
The lowest peak is Sebkha Tah, that has an elevation of -55 m. |

Major Rivers/Lakes: Sebou River is an important river in northern Morocco. Lake Semara is in the Western Sahara. Lake Chiker, near Taza, is usually dry during the summer months.
Vegetation: The costal vegetation is a large exotic collection of Casuarina, Eucalyptus, Citrus, Loquat, Acacia and many others. In the wetter places there are giant meadows and orchards with plants such as fennel commonly found. These forest have the high value Argan trees that are useful in cosmetics and creation of medicines. |
